Mug Cake
Don’t we just love the apps on playstore? And what about those cooking games? It would be simply perfect if we can actually taste those instant finished products!
Picking the ingredients and mixing was never so fast… But those games are crazy… It just makes us hungry every time we see them pop into the oven and… like magic… its done!
I have come across this app, a recipe for a Mug Cake and I just had to try it. Having a bakery business myself, and with the chocolate cake as my best seller, I was thinking, will this Mug Cake put me out of business? So I had to try it. Here’s what I think: It is amazing!!
Well, it’s not an actual cake, it’s more like a brownie. But it’s not bad! A quick chocolate fix, warm, perfect a la mode, and the best part is, no huge pile of dishes to wash and done in 12 seconds!
Hope you can enjoy this Mug Cake too and have lots of fun experimenting on it! There is room for your creativity and preference and some ingredients are optional. This is a revised recipe:
Recipe
In a regular mug, mix the following very, very well:
- 4 Tablespoons of all purpose flour
- 3 Tablespoons of white sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon of cocoa powder (I use Bensdorp, but any will do)
- 1 piece egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 Tablespoons of fresh milk (or 1 Tablespoon powdered milk plus 2 Tablespoons water)
- 3 Tablespoons canola oil (any kind of oil will do, choose a healthier alternative though)
- 3 Tablespoons of semi sweet chocolate chips (any flavor will do)
- 3 Tablespoons of walnuts (this is optional but any kind of nut will do)
Put the mug in the microwave and set it on high for 12 seconds and see it rise. It will however sink in when you get it out but that is natural since the temperature is so high.
I am sure you can find more ideas for other varieties in the web and there are even some Mug Cake Mixes out there. Good luck! Start mixing! Perfect your own and make a Mug Cake for someone you love while enjoying those apps on play store! Yum!!
